well its time for the annual post again but i guess this year it'll be a fast one cos i should be going to watch the fireworks soon! haha.

2007 has been pretty eventful (ok, i say this every yr) esp with the A's and all. and guess it was becos of the A's that it was also a boring year.

i'd like to tell all my friends, i love you guys! haha ;D
thanks to all for going through treacherous times such as the A's, prelims, blocks etc... and the agony we all pulled through together yea!

esp to my classmates, royals, marche gang etc (the 5 girls, the guys, ken, yx, kh, mag, shauna, ship and grace...) and other close friends that i talk to often in sch! :D love you all!
really grateful for a pretty smooth year, albeit small obstacles along the way! i hope next yr (or tmr, haha) will be just as smooth or even smoother as uni comes my way and more things ahead.
i'm even wondering if i might need to go abroad to further my studies. rawr! other than that. i guess it has been a pretty blessed year :D

bwahaha. i've been pretty lazy to wait and doze off in front of my laptop and letting photoshop take its own sweet time to load. darn! its gonna be the 31st tmr alr! time for some annual new-year's-eve post! haha. hmmm.

meeting up with the girls for lunch so i doubt i'll be able to continue my korea travelogue! maybe gonna chiong it on new year's day before i leave for Shanghai on friday!

Korea Travelogue I 10:30 PM

Day 1 - 11.12.07
took SQ 606 to Seoul/Incheon bright and early. 8am flight so we reached around 330? around a 6 hr flight. luckily it was a smooth flight!

after that met the rest of the tour group there and then our tour guide, Andy said they actually had activities planned for us that day. so we headed down to Dongdaemun once everyone got settled on the bus. and shopped for about 2 hours. didn't do much shopping cos every building seemed to be selling similar things. winter clothings, leather boots/shoes, hair accessories, jewellery, bags (not to my liking) etc. bought some cute stationery before meeting the rest on the bus and then went for Korean bbq! the Dongdaemun building outer design was super artistic la! and the words (exciting, passion etc) would blink at time intervals! haha. tried some roadside snack which were meatballs with chilli or something! pretty delicious!

to our horror we were gonna eat Korean bbq for the rest of the journey. well, almost everyday. either steamboat or bbq. hardly any other variety. haha so funny please. so it was mainly bbq pork cos beef and chicken were more expensive. or something like that. yep.

so had Korean bbq pork for dinner on the first night and then checked into Novotel Ambassador Gangnam for a night's rest. didn't do much on the first day. wanted to go to the convenience store but guess we were sorta tired out. anyway had to wake up super early the next morning! haha.

Day 2 - 12.12.07
morning call was at 7am (6am SG time) cos we had to proceed out of the hotel for breakfast. haha low funds. =X the Novotel hotel room was superb la! 5* man! like SG's 5* standard as well. breakfast was on this boat, pretty cool. it was super cold and freezing that morn alr la! i should think it was about 3-4 deg. haha and the wind was quite strong cos it was along a river place (should think its the Han River)

so it was called the Arirang Restaurant! haha.

i was starting to think i couldn't even take the cold on top of the mountain... lol. after that it was a 4 hr journey to Kangwon High-1 Ski Resort. sigh bus journeys again. at least our tour guide was pretty entertaining during the journey. admired him for that. there was a stopover 2 hrs into the journey... had some snacks again. the fish cake looked pretty tasty but it wasn't that fantastic i guess. haha Singapore's otah beats it hands down! haha. yep the travelled all the way there again.

stopped over for lunch at this place which i dunno where cos it seemed like it popped out of no where to me. haha vegetable steamboat. yep. steamboat would be a common staple food for us the rest of the trip. started talking with another girl in the group, Michelle, who came with her mother. :)

and soon after that dropped by at this ski shop to get our ski suits & goggles. haha i got a red one, which was a pretty common colour donned by the others in the group. and finally we arrived at Kangwon Land High-1 Ski Resort.

as its name suggests, it's some sort of integrated resort with a casino and so-called theme park. which was freaking boring! their theme park is fully indoor, with 10 simulation rides! rawr we spent half a day there la which kinda bored my soul outta me! such a waste of time. the itinerary stated that it would be on the 2nd day of skiing, we had a choice to continue skiing or go to the theme park place. BUT it seemed like it was meaningless to start skiing like at 3 plus since the place would close at 4 to touch up for night skiing or something like that. yep. so wasted our day away at the indoor theme park sitting simulation rides, and then went for dinner. which was steamboat again. if i dont remember wrong it was mushroom steamboat this time. haha.

went to the convenience store this time round, Family Mart! haha i saw more Family Marts there than 7-11! sigh total opposite of tw. lol! and saw something really cute.

we all thought it was banana ice cream cos the fresh bananas there were really expensive like S$2 a piece or something like that. hahah. but it turned out to be a frozen banana! which was selling for 80cents i think.. haha have no idea why a frozen banana would be much cheaper unless they froze it during the peak season when bananas are real cheap. haha. however, i didnt try it and i regret doing so! rawr!

checked into High-1 Hotel for a night's rest! the room was however, really stuffy! i mean it was freezing cold outside, perhaps 2 deg, but inside the central heater was soooo hot la! there was a small window for you to open to let some cold air in but i doubt there was much wind and thus, i slept without the blankets. haha.

Day 3 - 13.12.07
woke up slightly later at 7.30am cos the cable car opened at 9. had a pretty nice American breakfast at the hotel and then set off in our ski suits for some skiing! whee! haha. and when we woke up the view was really nice!!! (cos we arrived only in the night, hence the pitch black scenery outside the window)

shared the cable car with Martin (another friend in the group) and his father before we went to this place called Top of the Top which is the top of the whole resort la. nothing spectacular cos everywhere it was trees, forests, all blanketed in snow! so prettyyyy! :D haha.

yep we saw this ice-skating rink along the way haha. so nice!

yep okay i shall stop here and continue with more pictures of me skiing! photoshop isnt doing any justice to my effort cos its so sickeningly slow! rawr :(

sales are really good things you know. first retail therapy cures any down moments. then you feel the sickening feeling of burning a huge hole in your pocket.

well i think too much retail therapy calls for newer retail diseases! like shopping diarrhoea. haha!
spent 340$ at the River Island sale on Christmas Day (incl Mum's and Mama's stuff). it was superb. my best busy was this cropped jacket for 30$, up 160$ which only arrived in nov! and 2 pairs of jeans, one sequinned one at 90$, up 123$ and another white skinnies for 30$, up 123$ as well. i've got 4 new pairs of jeans for Dec already! going broke broke broke. haha.

and today went for the Zara sale. i'm glad i was there on the first day, or the first few hours of the first day. things were getting vacuumed off the shelves. literally. hahaha, not swept but vacuumed! bust another 80$ there! been really happily buying tops and jeans and shorts... for cny and maybe uni life. haha. gosh uni life is starting to scare me already. there's so many more things to do like driving, getting a job, money to supplement my shopping.... blah blah. and dental fees are costing a bomb too. went for dental today. just popped in to collect my plastic sheaths and saw dr loh for like 5 mins and 50$ just flew away. :(

sigh. ok i must not spend anymore. i doubt any more sales will entice me. all the good sales have begun and i've went to look them up already. haha. river island, topshop, zara, mango (not very good), fox... yep! alright. i can finally start proper on my korea travelogue. haha. stupid photoshop isnt very cooperative. :(

first job! 2:20 PM

work the past week has been pleasant. esp with chiewyong's mum being a very nice "boss" and company such as cy, weiying and joanne! haha.

esp weiying and his 安心雞! haha it still cracks me up when the image of him saying the phrase thingy appears in my mind. and much more laughter in the office as well!

ah well it was a really good working experience :D

its xmas eve! gotta go for kor kor darryl's xmas eve party tonight. hah. speaking of which, went to bob and justin's church christmas musical on sat night. coincidentally martin's from the same church as well. just different service. haha. took such pains to walk in the stupid rain from serangoon gardens circus. rawr! sometimes rain isn't good. keeps the weather cool, but gets you soaked inside out.

rawr. havent exactly started on my Korea travelogue yet. got 500+ images to sort and upload plus erm... many more things to do, shows to watch, stuff to clear before i leave for Shanghai!

sob, i should start learning my driving soon too.
plus mum "forced" me to go to jb yest to get her flower arrangements done so i went for more shopping! heh. Mango had lots of sales la. like rm95 (S$42) for a pair of skinny jeans! sigh but limited sizes as well. i tried on this top which was pretty nice but mum said it was still ex (~S$30). by the time i came back 2 hrs later, the 2 of it left were gone already. rawr! i want more shopping! hopefully there'll be sufficient time in Shanghai to do that. haha.

bleah, alright current song stuck in my head!

heard it on Channel V in Korea and its been stuck ever since. hahaha. i miss Korea already! sigh. i even went to eat Korean beef bulgogi the other day. and i miss the bibimbap! bleah. hahaha went to check out the Korean grocery store at Cine but everything there is double the price! No coffee ice cream, no ice banana! sob sob. and no banana milk! alright back to some clearing up.

i feel like a dried prune now. my skin's all dried and scaly with wounds all over my body, arms and legs esp.

should have gotten more from the face shop. its like 50% discount over there la. sian diao.

back from Seoul last night. kinda upset/disappointed with my shopping outcome. a pathetic 2 hrs in Myeongdong. sickening. Myeongdong's similar to Taiwan's night markets. love these kinda places. so saddening la. great shopping in great weather amidst great food and many many value buys!

ah well. managed to make full use of the 2 hrs and shopped like speedy gonzales. hahaha. if there's such sort of phrase. hopefully there'll be more shopping available in Shanghai come Jan!

alrighty shall update pics and travelogue asap. will be busy tmr till sat with a part-time job though. yay :D

missing the cold weather, the freaky rollercoaster rides at everland, the negative chills, the boring steamboat-bbq-steamboat-bbq meals daily and the ice creams that we munch down even during the nights with horribly frozen hands!

SOB. if only sg had 4 seasons.
other than the scaly dried skin and the boring meals,
everything else was perfecto! :D

wow its kinda fascinating that i can type in english in korea cos when i was in japan everything was in jap and when i was in taiwan, it was all using the yin diao thingy.

alright its only 8.43pm now and im supposed to go and rest.

had 1 full day of skiing today!
so tiring please.

gotta plan for the f&e day in seoul by today. been really slack and all. caught 金馬獎 last night. 蕭敬騰's performance was really good! i'm not such a fan of 超級星光大道 but anw, kh said he PK-ed 楊宗緯 and won! (i think) thats like whoa. haha...

seriously only like 曹格's powerful vocals can be on par with this dude.

prom 05/12/07
wasnt that exciting. but the company made it wonderful! haha. top prize was ps3. damn cool man. other than that it was a night filled with taking pictures, blinding flashes, cramped smiles and forced-opened eyes (for me that is).

ended earlier than i expected. haha. ah well, went back to the room then came out again to walk orchard in my freaking painful heels. rawr. then caught The Golden Compass after that. haha. was a pretty cool movie with the cgi ice bears (aka polar bears) and stuff. kinda slept through some parts cos we were watching it till 3 plus. was so tired. haha. then came back and talked/played throughout the night. lol. so fun. haha. kinda disturbed the neighbours. oops. went for Macs breakfast and then came back till check-out. slept like a log on the chair cos the bed was utilized for bridging. haha.

came home for some beauty sleep and woke up feeling sick and drowsy. sigh! down with flu and sore throat now. must have caught a chill on prom night cos it was cold and we were wearing our prom dresses only. haha.

too lazy to post up pictures before korea trip so guess i'll update all in 1 shot soon enough. rawr. blog layout still remains the same. haha. i wanna change it soon!

星光幫 on fri night was infuriating. the 工作人員 chased us away from the unloading bay cos they were gonna be there will either one sings and the rest wait. so lame. so had to go behind the stage to see them. wah the front row people really got their worth man. they sang a total of 10 songs la! like mini-concert already can! its 1/3 of a normal concert la! hahaha. kinda hooked onto 捕夢人 by 潘裕文 now. lol. sadly when Judy was singing 我不會唱歌 in my head was 羅祥's 我不會唱歌! haha kh said the same thing! sigh gonna miss him when HE and 56 will be here over the weekend. wonder if the 場面 will be 尷尬 if they meet at Star Awards. lol! =X

then after that left and went to Parkway to get my FIR cd. then i coincidentally saw 56's 4th Album 喝采 (like finally after 2837182873920287382923775 years) on pre-order. haha i was the 1st person can! so... o_0. so surprising. they're having autograph at Bukit Panjang Plaza on the 17th. and i'll be back only 17th night. rawr!!! sickening. whats with the 16th/17th weekend la. 全部我所喜歡的都回來! :(

FIR was yest. met ship before heading down to suntec. then stoned till kh came. we were at 3rd row! reached 1030am ok! haha. then stoned and played with our ds + listened to ipod and blah blah. 建寧老師 came down around 12 plus (auto at 1330) to test the sound. haha so cool. then faye came down later when it finally started. sigh. 阿沁 didnt come cos he has some personal reasons! rawr!! :( anw 建寧老師 was so nice he wrote my name for me! haha..

ok then after auto went walking around for awhile before i met shauna and her friened umairah at city hall! then went down to mediacorp for PSC Nite with 星光幫 as guests. had much fun watching and stuff hahah mdc theatre brings back memories since R&B and 2nd album times..

okay. gotta be busy with korea and misc stuff. yep toodles.

i've been watching 公主小妹 the past few nights. yes i know im slow, but anw got all the shows during the a's period and all... so its finally time to starting catching up on my whole list of shows/serials to watch!

the show's pretty good. not because i like 飛輪海 but the storyline's pretty cool! 南風影! quiet, cool and reserved! ok shall blog a wee bit about the the past weekend first.

fri 30/11/07
met ship at the airport to 接機 and we got the wrong flight but luckily it was in time for the correct one. hahah so funny 羅祥 stood there for awhile cos the i/c was briefing him on some matters... lol. (shall clear all my videos soon, once prom is over and post pics up too!)

after that went to parkway with ship for our gelato + mow ice cream treat! haha! then walked around before going home in the evening.

one year since i've been to taiwan! really miss the taiwan trip! so much more shopping i wanna do! anyhow i woke up late. supposed to meet grace at 1030 i woke up at 1057. hahah. luckily bugis isnt that far from my house...

chionged down to Intercontinental and just as we arrived at the hotel, 8228 (他們的車) appeared and this guy who looked so much like 小鬼 came down la! beanie + tee + jeans + black backpack + skinny came down and zoomed in. but then he was too fast for us to catch up so we weren't sure if it was 小鬼. then waited and waited blah blah. lena came down to kaypoh la! haha then finally kh arrived and ship came down after her SAT.

小豬 came out around 330pm to proceed down to indoor. haha. funny things which happened during the waiting time please refer here. lol! thanks ship! like talking on pictochat on kh's and my ds! hahah so funny we were walking far away to see if the wireless connection was still usable. lol 我們四個都不甘願沒有看到“小鬼”所以繼續燈下去.

we finally gave up around 530pm and headed down to indoor. hah!

concert was fantastic. been ages since i've been able to jump and sing along. best concert ever was probably still Jstars 2004. when the whole jungiery came down. that was probably the peak of being a "fangirl" (as quoted from ship) hahah! however, Twinkle was superb! enjoyed it to the fullest. was lmao-ing and rofl-ing during the 幾分 part! wah almost kena us. the block beside us. hahaha. but it was so hilarious!

they siam-ed right after concert please. so rawr! like to avoid jam and other fans. pro pro uncle loh got info that he was 慶功-ing in the hotel so we went back there. :(

sigh. olive tree restaurant! why not long beach or jumbo or whatever! rawr!!!

gave up cos the guards kept chasing us out so we went back home.

bright and early, i woke up at 0545 after sleeping at about 2am the prev night! rawr decided to 送機 cos i really still 不甘心沒有看到“小鬼”!

小豬 came and left. major hooha at the airport. dunno why it was damn sickening-ly crowded that day. the queue for the SQ flight to taiwan was until the door please. more people and it'll be out on the road already. but by the time 小豬 came it sorta cleared.

spent some time following him to and fro cos think they got lost trying to find the Business Class check-in counter. hahah people were running about but ship, kh and i were like walking behind. lol. so funny.

“小鬼”還沒有出現！

so the 不爽 me decided to wait for the dancers CI flight. walao! like 5 hrs of stoning at the airport alone! the rest went back cos they gave up. haha! then dancers eventually came.

原來背影長得很像小鬼就是紅毛！
wow i spent a good 5 secs looking at whose face was under the beanie before confirming it wasn't 小鬼。

有夠失望!

bah nvm. trudged back home and it was family dinner at Ritz Carlton that night. if only 小豬 stayed there and for 1 more night! hahah! like Feb that time. rawr!

the past few days have been crazy.
well not really, but emotions have ran somewhat high. to the extent that perhaps going to korea during that crucial period of time might not seem so appropriate after all.
